Exhibition NUREYEV – A TRIBUTE TO THE GREATEST MALE DANCER OF THE 20th CENTURY.

This is a story about Rudolf Nureyev, whose stage presence left no one untouched. Come and listen to the story of the world-famous dancer who defected from the Soviet Union during a tour in Paris in 1961. The exhibition about Nureyev includes 14 costumes and 49 photographs from famous scenes around the world. Here you can find costumes from, for example, Swan Lake, Giselle and Don Quijote. Extend your lunch break and come to a display among costumes and photographs.

The exhibition at the Dance Museum is produced by the Alliance Français in Singapore, where it was shown in 2021. It contains 14 costumes from famous works such as Swan Lake, Giselle and Don Quixote. They are all typical examples of the short well-decorated jackets that came to characterize the Nureyev costume. The exhibition also shows 49  photographs of Rudolf Nureyev on stage taken by Francette Levieux.
