INFORMATION ON COPYRIGHTS ON CHOREOGRAPHIES
These ballets may be remounted by professional dance companies subject to the agreement of the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation and its choreographic rights representative, Les Editions Mario Bois, and subject to strict artistic control which includes working with a repetiteur approved by the Foundation for rehearsals and the ballet production.
It is appreciated that the number of dancers in Nureyev’s original productions can often be too high for many Dance Companies and the original sets can be too expensive to reproduce exactly.
In both cases, the Foundation will consider whether approval can be given for the ballet to be mounted with fewer dancers and different designs.
