The Sleeping Beauty features Rudolph Nureyev as Prince Florimund and Veronica Tennant as Princess Aurora. The National Ballet of Canada production is classically sumptuous and the dancing of the principals is brilliant. This is the only available video of The Sleeping Beauty featuring Nureyev and in this production, he has added additional choreography which greatly enhances the role of Florimund. The superbly-trained corps and soloists of the National Ballet of Canada are welcome assets to the production.
