Rudolf Nureyev conducted an orchestra of students from UCSF in a programme of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet Suite No. 2 Op. 68 and excerpts from the ballet, and the Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major, Op. 55 ‘Eroica’ by Beethoven. This was his last performance as a conductor.
