The Rudolf Nureyev Foundation has three funding priorities. All applications must demonstrate clear evidence of the necessary skills, networks and means to deliver, financial viability and sustainability, and close alignment with the Foundation’s mission, priorities and values.
1. Supporting talent
Working in partnership with schools, companies and dance organisations to create environments in which the next generation of talent can be nurtured and developed
We support programmes that
- convincingly address a clearly evidenced sector need
- embody high standards of health, wellbeing and safeguarding
- contribute to the geographical reach of Nureyev’s legacy and the Foundation’s impact
2. Perpetuating Nureyev’s memory and continuing his impact
Working with partner organisations to support high quality programmes and events that celebrate Nureyev’s contribution to dance, explore his unique place in dance history and disseminate expertise on his choreography, technique and style
We support programmes that
- are high quality and distinctive
- have accessibility embedded, with the potential for significant reach
- disseminate expertise on Nureyev’s choreography, technique and style
- support the ecosystem of Nureyev Collections and legacy sites
3. Advancing the health, wellbeing and safeguarding of dancers
Working in partnership to enable and create the conditions that will promote best practice and advance knowledge across the dance world
We support programmes that
- address an issue of sector importance and clearly evidenced need
- reflect and support sector appetite for new knowledge and improved ways of working
- have appropriate partners engaged, or are working in coalition to increase impact and reach
