This performance marked Rudolf Nureyev’s graduation from the Leningrad State Academic Vaganova Choreographic Institute. In addition to the Pas de deux from Le Corsaire, he danced solos from Laurencia and Gayane. He appeared in two further graduation performances, on 24 June and 29 June 1958.
