Nureyev made role debuts in three works at this performance, although he had danced in an extract from Le Spectre de la Rose on a German television programme in 1961.
A fourth work, The Sanguine Fan by Ronald Hynd, was also presented in this London Festival Ballet bill but Nureyev did not dance in this. Konservatoriet was presented as Conservatoire and was staged by Mona Vangsaae.
