In addition to dancing at this performance, Nureyev conducted the Utah Symphony Orchestra in the Overture and Grand Pas de deux from The Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky. This was the third conducting ‘try out’ before making his public debut as a conductor in Vienna.
