Royal Ballet mixed programme

Nureyev made his debut in Glen Tetley’s Laborintus on 26 July 1972, and danced in that and his own staging of The Kingdom of the Shades from La Bayadère at all four performances. His partners in the latter were Merle Park (26 July) and Vyvyan Lorrayne (27 July, 1 & 2 August).
The other work in the programme was Ashton’s Symphonic Variations (26 & 27 July) and Triad by Kenneth MacMillan (1 & 2 August).
