The Sleeping Beauty

Nureyev gave several performances in a season of The Sleeping Beauty given by the International Ballet of the Marquis de Cuevas which opened on 21 June 1961. The exact dates of his performances are currently unidentified but his performance on 23 June was his first with a Western company. The Kirov Ballet opened its London season with The Sleeping Beauty on the same night.
