Vienna International Festival of Youth

This festival was also known as the Seventh Communist World Youth Festival. The dancers representing the USSR performed at various venues in Vienna, and Nureyev performed in the same pieces in the programme – a pas de deux from Le Corsaire and excerpts from Laurencia and Gayane.
Nureyev and Alla Sizova received the the Festival’s top mark of 10(+) for their performance in the pas de deux from Le Corsaire.
