The performance on Sunday 30 October 1977 was Nureyev’s role debut in Adagio Hammerklavier. He danced in four out of the five pieces in the programme at both performances, the fifth being Nomos Alpha by Maurice Béjart which was performed by Paolo Bortoluzzi.
