Also known as Abderam / Saracen. Marilyn J La Vine notes that Nureyev’s first performance in this role may have been with Australian Ballet at the 3rd Festival of Dance at the Champs-Elysees Theatre in Paris on 17 November 1965, with Marilyn Jones and Garth Welch, but it is not clear.
