Remembering Rudolf

This series of reflections and interviews bring together the tributes and memories of some of the people Rudolf Nureyev met, influenced and inspired.

 Remembering Rudolf includes contributions from artists, writers, dancers, patrons of the arts, administrators and life-long friends. 

They are all reproduced in the language in which they were offered to the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation, in the years following Rudolf’s death. 

While the tributes vary in length and form, they are united in their admiration for an artist who, as Pierre Bergé wrote, ‘came in with a leap and left in a breath…. Nothing will ever be the same again’.
